Crying Over Real Estate?

A few months ago, I (Steve) was in a webinar about artificial intelligence in the real estate industry, and one of the presenters mentioned a survey Zillow conducted showing that half of all buyers cried “at least once during their home-buying journey.” And among younger, more likely first-time buyers, the number was above 60%.

So, why was this sad statistic mentioned in a meeting about AI? Because it was a reminder that the human side of real estate will continue to be important, even as the world of tech evolves and changes the ways we work, shop, and live.

Our Commitment to Being Real. And Human 🙂

We love to bring our whole, human selves to our work with you. We enjoy getting to know you, learning about what you value, learning your style preferences, and knowing how we can help you make the best decisions possible in buying or selling your home.

We know that buying or selling a home can be very emotional – you’re making decisions that will affect your lifestyle, family wealth, personal safety, and enjoyment for years to come.

We also take very seriously our fiduciary responsibility to be your strongest advocate, protect your interests, and set you up for success. We have developed many friendships from client relationships, and it’s part of the joy of doing this work!

Ready for Spring?

This may seem odd for December, but if you’re thinking about buying or selling in 2025, it’s time to get ready. See the graph below from our friend, appraiser and real estate blogger, Ryan Lundquist. January is a turning point in most years, and both buyers and sellers will start getting active very soon. Let us know if you would like some help – our contact info is below.

Happy Holidays!

If this was a time of celebration for you, we hope it was great! We enjoyed having our kids and their partners gather around, including our daughter and her wife coming down from Canada. It’s always fun to bake goodies, exchange gifts, watch Die Hard on the new TV, and just enjoy their company!
